About The
Author:
Mr. Godwin C. Nwaogwugwu
is a prolific author, with a flair for developing 'How-to' books for
youths. He was a graduate of two universities in two different
continents. He obtained a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics and
Extension from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and a
Masters degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from
Strayer University, Washington, DC, USA. This combination of diverse experience and
expertise has made him quite a versatile resource person on
e-business, and strategic matters in both countries. In addition, he has over
Twelve
professional certifications from the
World Bank Institute,
Brainbench,
and Learning Tree,Washington, DC.
Mr. Nwaogwugwu was one of the pioneer staff of the
World Bank Group's Small And Medium
Enterprise Department, created in 2000 as a knowledge center for
small and medium business development in developing countries. The
department provided support to SMEs in the
areas of Access To Capital, Linkages, Technology, , Knowledge
Management, and Capacity Building. At his early years as a
World Bank Analyst, Mr. Nwaogwugwu developed several monitoring and evaluation
systems, as well as institution-wide report tracking systems. He
later provided Technical Assistance (TA) to World Bank SME training
projects in Africa.
Mr Nwaogwugwu was the Board Secretary of the World
Bank Art Society, as well as the Chairman of the committee that
organized the first World Bank HIV-AIDS outreach to the Washington,
DC Public Schools (DCPS) in 2003. He received a certificate of
appreciation for the successful planning and
implementation from then President of the
World Bank Group, Mr. James D. Wolfensohn.
He has also received several awards and recognitions
while on consultant assignments in such international organizations as
Manpower Services,
All First Bank, Cost Attribution Department of the United States
Postal Services, International
Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington, DC, USA, etc. He is currently the
Director of 'ImoOnline'
project; an ICT project sponsored by the
US State Department,
and the Imo State Government of Nigeria. He is the founder of
'TalentHouse', a US-based,
non-profit organization that provides support for art programs, and
talent development for un-heard minority youths in developing
countries.
